Genesis Fertility Centre's Telephone Guide

What to Expect

When calling the clinic, you will first hear a voicemail message. Please listen to all of the options available then choose the appropriate number. If there is no one available at the option you are calling, please leave a clear message including:

  1. Your name, as it appears on your care card (with the spelling)
  2. The number where you can be reached
  3. The reason for your call and any test results we should locate before we call you back

Please allow us enough time to obtain your chart from filing and review your needs. Repeat phone calls take more time from the staff and means less time for the patients.

**The staff at Genesis Fertility Centre deals with an average of 350 calls on a daily basis. Our goal is to deal with all calls in a professional and efficient manner. Please be patient with us; your call will be returned as quickly and effectively as possible. The entire staff thanks you for using our voicemail system and we hope that you find this information guide helpful.

Using Our Telephone System

Options

Press 2 – To leave a message for a nurse
Press 3 – To book an appointment for an office visit, sperm tests or sperm freezing
Press 3 – To obtain copies of your chart information
Press 4 – To speak to our finance office
Press 5 – If you require an information package about our clinic
Press 6 – To hear our fax number, address, and directions

*If none of these options apply to you, or if you are unsure, Press 0 and the receptionist will direct your call appropriately.

If you press 2 for Nurses

The nurses must have your chart available when they discuss your medical care with you. This means you must leave a message with the reason for your call.

We attempt to return calls in a priority sequence based upon the description or reason for your call. If you are unavailable to have a call returned, please tell us when you will call back, or where we can leave a message. The nurse can then be prepared to receive your call.

If you press 3 for Appointments

Then:

Press 2 - For Dr. Yuzpe’s and Dr. Racette’s patient appointments and nursing orientations.
Press 3 – For Dr. Fluker’s and Dr. Fisher’s patient appointments and nursing orientations.
Press 4 – For Dr. Taylor’s and Dr. Hitkari’s patient appointments and nursing orientations.
Press 5 – For appointments or questions about sperm tests and/or sperm freezing.
