Why should statistics matter?
Well … because
experience counts! We’re one of the largest
IVF programs in the country, and our success rates
are among the best in the country.
Our statistics are
updated regularly so that we and you can
assess the success and consistency of our program.
We do not take these successes for granted!
They are the result of years of experience and constant
fine-tuning of our stimulation protocols, our laboratory
culture conditions and our embryo transfer guidelines.
However, the
most important factors determining the success of
a cycle are the woman’s age and the number and
quality of the embryos we replace. Those factors will
vary from one couple to another and from one cycle
to the next. Your individual circumstances will be
unique. One of our physicians will be pleased to discuss
your individual history with you and provide advice
that is tailored for you.
Genesis Clinical Pregnancies
Clinical pregnancies
are those seen on ultrasound at 6-8 weeks’ gestation.
These numbers do not include biochemical
pregnancies or positive pregnancy tests -- because
the goal of treatment is to help you obtain an ongoing
and successful pregnancy, not just a positive test.
The Canadian Assisted
Reproductive Technologies Registry (CARTR) collected
statistics from IVF programs across Canada each year.
This complicated data collection process means that
national statistics always lag one year behind the most
current statistics that can be provided by an individual
program.
